Contemporary Dance Classes
This is a ten week series. Classes are held Mondays 6:45-7:45 starting April 19th and ending June 21st.
Contemporary dance combines elements from several dance genres. A physically grounded style, it explores principles of fall and recovery, kinesthetic and spatial awareness. improvisation, center of gravity, and freedom of expression. Contemporary classes allow dancers to cultivate creativity and individual dance style. In this series we will build on concepts, steps, and style. By the end, you will have learned an entire routine and gained confidence in your body and ability to dance contemporary!
Appropriate for ages 15+.
